Summary of program and employer expectations:
The Lerner-Delaware Early Career Co-op Program offers rising sophomore and junior business students a one-year, paid internship or co-op experience, designed to provide valuable, real-world skills. Running from June 1 to May 31, these co-ops aim to set students up for potential full-time job offers upon graduation. During summer and winter (month of January) sessions, students can work up to 40 hours per week, and during the academic year (fall and spring), up to 20 hours per week. Employers will receive comprehensive support from Lerner Career Services, including assistance with job postings, interviews, and ongoing guidance throughout the internship. The recruitment timeline is as follows:
- November 2024 - January 2025: Post job descriptions (A round)
- December 2024 - February 2025: Collect and review resumes (A round) / Post job description (B round)
- January - March 2025: Conduct interviews (A round) / Collect and review resumes (B round)
- February - May 2025: Finalize job offers (A round) / Conduct interviews and finalize job offers (B round)
- June 2025: Program start
