Available SL CMT Content Channels for reference:

Currently, we only accept content submissions for newsletters. However, you can pitch a story or content idea for one of the other content channels.

  • Audience: all UD students; sent on Mondays; content deadline is Thursdays at midnight
• Student Life Staff Newsletter - " SL Employee Newsletter"
  • Audience: Division of Student Life employees, sent on Wednesdays; content deadline is Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

• Student Life Blog
• Blue Hen Family Hub

Web and Accessibility

The Web and UX team oversees all Student Life web pages, digital signage, analytics and accessibility initiatives.

Designs Type descriptions for reference:

• Art: art curation, exhibitions, and displays.
• Digital: designs such as icons or illustrations, digital signs, web graphics to be displayed on a screen or monitor, newsletter, or UD Events calendar graphics. 
• Wayfinding/Signage: designs that are large formats, such as banners, clings, interior semi-permanent and permanent signage, and wayfinding. These projects typically require installation and sometimes removal or repair. 
• Print: designs that will be printed, such as flyers, posters, postcards, booklets, t-shirts, promotional items, etc.

Notes About Design: 

• We only support digital graphics for Student Life Communication team-supported social media channels @udstudents (Instagram) and @BlueHenLife (YouTube), affiliated newsletters, the UD Events calendar, the UD Connect app, websites, and digital signs we manage.
• All digital and print advertising space reservations must be confirmed before design begins. See the associated costs or make a reservation. 
• Student Life design projects are limited to three revisions. Designs must be approved before printing or digital distribution, allowing for one round of design feedback and revision, and then review by the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) Creative Team when time allows, where the third and final revision may be needed. Learn more about that process in our policies.
• While design services are free, advertising and printing costs are the requestor's responsibility. The requestor is responsible for paying for the project deliverables delivered by our internal and external vendors. Please confirm that you have budget approval from your department to move forward with any product ordering and printing.
• We retain creative oversight of all designs and adhere to University branding.
• We can assist you with printing your items once approved through our preferred vendors for that deliverable.   
• Scheduling and promoting design assets created is at the discretion of the Content and Web/UX teams on their respective channels. It must be requested with enough lead time according to our policies.
• Designs must also meet the minimum accessibility guidelines for that kind of display.
